![]() The film has a great sense of humor and leads to several hilarious moments like the Walrus and Carpenter story, the Dodo trying to get Alice out of the White Rabbit's house, the Mad Hatter and March Hare's insanity, and the Queen' short temper. The story is amazingly well written and fast paced, manages have the right amount of insanity without going overboard, can be really funny and even suspenseful at times, and really fits with the tone of the books despite being a very loose adaptation. She sees him leave through a tiny door, whose talking knob advises her to shrink to an appropriate height by drinking from a bottle marked "Drink Me." She does so and floats out through the keyhole into a sea of her own tears, which she had cried after eating a biscuit marked "Eat Me," which caused her to grow very large.Īs she continues to follow the Rabbit, she encounters numerous characters, including Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the Dodo, talking, singing flowers, the smoking Caterpillar, the inquisitive Cheshire Cat, the manic Mad Hatter and March Hare, and the power crazy Queen of Hearts.Īs Alice continues her journey through Wonderland and the more frustrated ad confused she gets, she discovers that her life in the real world may not be as mundane as she thought, and decides she wants to go home. There, Alice spots a passing White Rabbit in a waistcoat, exclaiming that he is "late for a significant date."
